Asked why he does not invite figures like Lulzim Basha, Bamir Topi, Astrit Patozi or Enkelejd Alibeaj to protests, Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha reacted in harsh tones, describing them as "pseudo-intellectuals".
"Are you talking about intellectuals or pseudo-intellectuals? I'll be honest: go back to 1990 and read what I said in Drita magazine, where I made the distinction between intellectuals and pseudo-intellectuals. Pseudo-intellectuals are the nation's misfortune. We better not confuse them," Berisha said.
He stressed that the Democratic Party has given them every opportunity, but according to him, these figures have used the party for personal interests. “Didn’t this party give them every opportunity? And what did they use it for? Bamir Topi’s favors were his properties. Lulzim Basha’s, his enrichment,” Berisha said.
As for the other figures, Berisha spoke briefly, hinting that he does not consider them important political factors. "As for that other one... it is not at all. Ask the others who were involved in the campaign," he added.

Bamir Topi's favors were his properties. Lulzim Basha's were his enrichment and destruction (of the opposition). Ask the others what they say when they ran their campaigns.
