Journalist Klodiana Lala has revealed details from SPAK's latest action, which has seized other assets that are suspected of indirectly belonging to former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
In a live link for News24, Lala spoke exclusively about the latest moves of the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution, while Balluk's position is clearly worsening.
"SPAK has seized assets in the Palasa area. They are suspected of being indirectly owned by Balluk. The decision was signed by prosecutor Erion Çela. SPAK has not provided explanations for the seized assets and how it was certified that these assets are indirectly owned by Balluk. Other assets have been seized in this area before. Evidence has also been found in several mobile phones. BKH officers are seizing the assets that will later be blocked. SPAK is investigating Balluk for corruption, for the Llogara Tunnel and for the New Ring Road. SPAK previously seized a luxury villa in Dhërmi that is suspected of belonging to Balluk. So far, there is no information whether there will be a new request for Balluk's arrest, while Mr. Braho has not ruled it out. Several businessmen who are suspected of collaborating with Balluk to hide their assets are also under investigation. The villa "The incident in question is suspected to have been committed by Balluku while he was working at Albcontrol," said Lala.
