"San Siro" will temporarily close its doors to football starting today, due to preparations for the Opening Ceremony of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. The last match before the interruption was actually the one between Inter and Pisa, after which the "Giuseppe Meaca" stadium will pass under the management of the Olympic organizers.
As a result, Inter and Milan will be forced to play several away games in the coming weeks. The Blues have Champions League and Serie A matches on their schedule, as well as a Coppa Italia match to be played in Monza. Milan will also face a busy schedule away from San Siro. Inter's first return to the Meazza after the Olympic break is expected to be against Juventus in mid-February, while Milan will return a few days later, once their Olympic commitments are over.
