The working group known as COELA has been meeting in Brussels for about an hour, where the IBAR report on Albania is being discussed. In a live link to News24, journalist Ergus Gjençaj reported that in Brussels there is talk of progress regarding the important points that make up this report.

"There is also talk of cautious optimism for the finalization of IBAR at today's meeting. We expect to see at the end of this meeting whether we will actually have the approval of IBAR for Albania or not," said the journalist.

While all options are on the table, if the report is approved, Albania's file will be passed to another, more political group, consisting of ambassadors of EU countries. "The key is the approval of the IBAR in the technical group, which discusses in detail the most important milestones related to the accession negotiations. Then a date will be set for the Intergovernmental Conference between the EU and Albania to begin that important phase related to the closing of the chapters between Albania and the EU," the journalist concluded.
