Tirana International Airport (TIA), in collaboration with Wizz Air and with the support of Kastrati Group, successfully organized the Wizz Air Pilot Academy (WAPA) Open Day in Mak Albania. The event attracted a large number of young Albanians interested in pursuing a professional career in aviation through one of the most accessible training programs in Europe.
During the event, participants were introduced to the program structure, admission criteria, training process and career opportunities in the extensive Wizz Air network. Young people had the opportunity to interact directly with Wizz Air representatives, cadets and specialists, gaining a clear overview of the journey from application to the cockpit.
Through this initiative, TIA reaffirms its commitment to supporting educational and professional opportunities for young people, contributing to the long-term growth of the aviation sector in the country. With the continued investments of Kastrati Group and the strong partnership with Wizz Air, young Albanians are offered a clear, structured and fully covered path towards a career as commercial pilots.
The event closed with an open question-and-answer session, where many young people expressed their enthusiasm to start the application process and become part of the first generation of Albanian pilots trained through the Wizz Air Pilot Academy.
