The Democratic Party Parliamentary Group demands that the Assembly take disciplinary measures against socialist Taulant Balla, after the use of what the opposition considers "unparliamentary language" during yesterday's Assembly session.
The DP has requested, through a letter addressed to the Secretariat for Procedures, Voting and Ethics, his exclusion from parliamentary sessions, arguing that Balla's behavior constitutes a violation of the Assembly's regulations and ethics.
In the request to the Parliament, the DP quoted Balla's phrases yesterday addressed to opposition MPs when he said: "Talk about rabbits, but if you're talking about rabbits, you should also talk about greyhounds, because the hare is brought to the ambush by the greyhound."
The Assembly is expected to review the opposition's request and it remains to be seen whether there will be disciplinary measures against Balla or whether the initiative will be rejected.
