A Colombian woman has been captured and wounded by Russian forces in the Zaporizhia area, suspected of being part of the forces fighting on the side of Ukraine. According to Russian media reports, the woman, identified by some sources as Daniela Zapata Aguire, and by others as Pupita Rodriguez, was captured after being left behind by advancing Russian forces. Footage has been published on social media purporting to show her surrendering her weapon without resistance.

The identity and exact circumstances of her capture have not been independently confirmed.


A Russian military expert, Major General Sergei Lipovoi, told aif.ru that foreign fighters caught in the fighting could face severe punishment. He also speculated that the woman may have served as a sniper, a role he said is often assigned to foreign women in Ukrainian forces.

However, these are statements and allegations from the Russian side, and there is no independent data confirming the woman's specific role in the conflict. According to Russian media, she could face a severe sentence if found guilty of participating in the fighting.
