Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that drone attacks launched by Ukraine have caused billions of dollars in damage to Russia's oil industry this year.

Referring to "the most conservative estimates," Zelensky said that "the aggressor state has lost at least $7 billion just as a direct result of our precision strikes on the oil industry and refining sector due to direct strikes, disruptions of activity, and delays in deliveries."

According to him, Ukrainian drone attacks on oil targets in Russia reached a new level in April, both in scope and intensity.

Zelensky stressed that these operations have significantly reduced Russia's oil revenues, a key source for financing the war.

Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine more than four years ago, continuously striking Ukrainian territory with missiles and drones, which has caused numerous civilian casualties and the destruction of infrastructure.
