The Vice President of the Democratic Party, Luciano Boçi, invited to the "Studio24" show, spoke about the possible candidacies of the DP in the upcoming local elections, focusing on the idea of ​​supporting non-political candidates for municipalities.

He said that such an option is part of discussions within the party and could be considered depending on the decision-making of the DP structures.

"This is seen as a form of candidacy or as an option. It is part of the DP's discussions and decision-making. Testing is also done. People who come from civil society have contact space with the general public, but there are also other circumstances that decide on a candidacy," said Boçi.

He added that, according to him, in Albania there is a deep problem with the way the political system functions and the relationship between the state and parties.

"Let's not forget about building the system because the party and the state have become one and organized crime gangs achieve political goals with non-political means," declared the DP vice president.
