This weekend, the Abissnet Superiore U-16 and U-17 championships begin for the new 2026–2027 season, two of the most important Albanian youth football competitions.

A novelty this season is the participation for the first time of the Elite Youth Academy in both championships. The Elite Youth Academy will compete with full rights in the “Abissnet Superiore” U-16 and U-17, as part of the FSHF strategy to increase the level of the youth championships and create more opportunities for the development of young footballers.

The Elite Youth Academy's debut will come in the first week, with both teams facing FK Vora away at the Ahmetaq Sports Field.

In the Abissnet Superiore U-16, the FK Vora – Elite Youth Academy match will take place on September 12, at 10:00, while two hours later, at 12:00, the Abissnet Superiore U-17 duel between the same teams will be played.

During the 2026–2027 season, Elite Youth Academy will participate in the U-16 and U-17 championships with players born in 2011 and 2012, while hosting matches will be held at the "House of Football".

The academy's participation in elite championships brings another opportunity to increase the competition and quality of youth football, giving young talents another space to develop and aim for national teams in the future.
