"Together Movement" MP, Redi Muçi, in a "Skype" connection on the "Studio24" show on News24, spoke about the resolution adopted this Tuesday in the Assembly on Iran.
The vote of which was abstention. During the interview, Muçi said that the "Together Movement" is not in support of the Iranian regime, on the contrary, it condemns it, but emphasizes that this haste of Prime Minister Rama, according to him, is only about the fact of facilitating his positions.
"I want to make it clear that the Together Movement is not in support of the Iranian regime. We have come out against them. So we condemn the repression of the recent protests. And as long as our state and our prime minister choose to get involved in international issues by bringing a resolution today, I believe that it must be addressed... Even in the context of the conflict that has arisen in the Middle East... The reason for my abstention is related to the fact that Albania's position must be greater and well-thought-out, well-controlled, especially in relation to EU countries. So as far as a step forward by EU countries is concerned, this great rush by Albania to declare Iran a state sponsor of terrorism, or the rush to join the Peace Board are movements that in the context of Prime Minister Rama and the institutional conflict that has begun with the executive and judicial powers, seem to be simply movements to facilitate his positions, in relation to the international community, an attempt to express himself more Catholic than the Pope," he said.
