A road accident was recorded around noon today in Elbasan, near "Aleksandër Xhuvani" University, where a woman was injured after being hit by a vehicle.

According to sources at the scene, the woman was crossing from one side of the road to the other when she was hit by a car traveling on that road segment.

Immediately after the accident, citizens and the emergency services of the Elbasan Regional Hospital arrived at the scene, who provided first aid to the injured woman. She was then transported by ambulance to the surgery ward of the Elbasan Regional Hospital to receive the necessary medical assistance.

Meanwhile, Police officers have gone to the scene, carried out the first procedural actions and are working to clarify the full circumstances of the accident, as well as to determine responsibilities.

The woman's health condition is not yet known, while investigations into the incident continue.
