TIRANA Ismail Kadare, the Albanian writer and one of the most renowned voices of contemporary literature, has been honored with an award from the Academy of Sciences.

Kadare, a member of the Academy of Sciences and multiple Nobel Prize nominee, has today received the Career Award. The writer was given this award in recognition and appreciation for his long creative and academic career.

It is learned that the award awarded today is expected to be presented to the writer Kadare in a solemn ceremony at the Academy of Sciences.
