A serious car accident has been recorded in China, where a mother and her child were thrown from a four-wheeler during a collision with protective barriers on the highway.

The incident was filmed by the vehicle's security cameras, documenting the moment the car loses control and rolls several times on the road.

The accident occurred on the Nanjing Ring Expressway after the driver of the four-wheeler made a sudden maneuver to avoid a plastic object on the road. After the maneuver, the vehicle went out of control, crashed into the side barriers and then rolled violently onto the highway.

A mother and child survived after they were thrown from an SUV that slammed into a guardrail and spun violently across a highway in China.

Dashcam video shows the driver suddenly swerving to avoid a plastic board on the Nanjing Ring Expressway, sending the vehicle out of control.

Police say the father and son in the front were wearing seatbelts and escaped injury. The mother and child in the back were not buckled in and were ejected through the rear window.

Both suffered broken arms but survived.

According to police, the father and son, who were in the front seats, were wearing seat belts and therefore did not suffer any injuries.

Meanwhile, the mother and child in the back seats were not wearing seat belts. During the collision, both were thrown out of the vehicle through the rear window.

As a result of the accident, the mother and child suffered fractures in their arms, while the family managed to survive the crash. Footage of the accident clearly shows the terrifying moment when the SUV crashes into the barriers and completely loses control.
