A serious road accident occurred after midnight on the Elbasan-Cërrik axis in Gjergjan, where a 31-year-old man lost his life as a result of a collision with the side barriers of the road.
According to preliminary data, the victim is citizen Mikail Kastlli, 31 years old from Gostima, who was traveling with his motorcycle on this road axis. Due to still unclear circumstances, the driver lost control of the motorcycle, going off the road and colliding with the side protective barriers.
The collision was violent and the 31-year-old sustained serious bodily injuries. Despite the intervention of emergency services, he was unable to survive his injuries and died at the scene.
From preliminary data, it is suspected that speed may have been one of the factors that contributed to the loss of control of the vehicle, but the exact cause of the accident is expected to be determined by the investigation.
Police services and emergency teams were at the scene, while the investigation group has begun actions to document the circumstances of the accident and determine the full dynamics of the event.

On 04.09.2026, at around 23:30, on the "Cërrik-Elbasan" road axis, citizen MK, 31 years old, is suspected of having lost control of the vehicle and, as a result, the vehicle collided with the side barrier of the road.
