According to SB Online, a Croatian police officer at the scene said there were about 60 people on the bus. “It was full,” he said. The officer revealed that about 30 people were rushed to the hospital.

He says the ages of the dead and injured are still unknown, and he did not want to speculate on this.
"This is a serious car accident. I think it's one of the most difficult I've ever seen," he said.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health of Croatia, Vili Berosh, is reported to have written at the scene.

"The causes of the accident can be speculated on for now, but nothing definitive can be said," Croatian authorities say.
