During the 93rd protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, activist Ilir Xhemalaj warned of an escalation of opposition action and protests against the government, calling for mobilization and civil disobedience.
Xhemalaj declared that the protesters will continue to remain in the square and that, according to him, a new phase of protests is expected in the fall.
"Now begins the rainy season that will fall on this government. We are determined to erect our barricades here and we will win the war. Here!", he said.
Accusing the government of corruption, Xhemalaj demanded its removal and warned of an escalation of protests.
"This corrupt government must go as soon as possible. We will start the escalation, the civil disobedience. This situation can no longer be sustained," he said. He called on citizens to prepare for an autumn of stronger protests and called for mobilization against Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"Prepare for a very strong autumn. We will be here, we will face even stronger. We must mobilize against Rama," declared Xhemalaj.
