The Police Supervision Agency (AMP) has arrested a State Police employee in Debar, suspected of the criminal offense of "Abuse" of duty.

The official announcement states that, as part of the investigations conducted, Megin Ademi was arrested after allowing the escape of Amir Muharremi, who was sentenced to "house arrest" and was expected to be extradited to Germany.

The Police Supervision Agency, Kukës-Dibar Regional Directorate, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Dibar and in the presence of the prosecutor on duty, has arrested in flagrante delicto the State Police employee, Megin Gani Ademi, 32 years old, Specialist for the Investigation of Crimes at the Dibar Police Station, for the criminal offense of "Abuse of Duty", provided for by Article 248 of the Criminal Code.

The investigations conducted have resulted in the police officer allegedly failing to carry out investigative and procedural actions regarding the removal of citizen Amir Muaremi, who was under the security measure of "house arrest" and in the process of extradition to the Federal Republic of Germany.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution for further actions.
