Amedeo Modigliani, an emblematic figure of 20th century art, comes to Tirana through his works. At the Kalo Gallery, an exhibition supported by Luarasi University, opened in an evening reserved for a select audience, from the world of diplomacy, personalities from the economic world and protagonists of the cultural scene.
The founder of the Gallery, Perparim Kalo, said that Modigliani is known for the human figure, the woman with the long neck, the nudes and the lifeless eyes and there is a certain sadness. While Modigliani's works mark the last century, the exhibition with his works in our country, his arrival in Albania, gives another weight to the art scene. At the opening, the local economy and art scene met the guardians of Modigliani's archives while the public builds bridges with the culture of the neighboring country.
"Modigliani is one of the 7 greatest in the world with extraordinary values. It was a collaboration with the Modigliani Foundation, and they liked bringing him to the Kalo Gallery. The exhibition comes as part of the European Week and it is a beautiful coincidence that the Dalia exhibition and the Morricone concert are also coming," said Kalo. The exhibition will be open until May 30, as the figure of Modigliani continues to exert a timeless appeal, thanks to an unrecognizable style characterized by elegant lines and deep psychological research.
