Never before had Albanians heard that their Prime Minister had authored the foreword to an 800-page book by international architects with 500 concrete projects for Albania. Even less had they heard of the existence of this book itself, with a pink cover and chief architect Edi Rama.

Today, when the truth was made public by the media and turned into yet another scandalous motive for the protesters to demand the resignation of the Prime Minister, the latter, caught red-handed, finally decided to explain himself on Albanian Files . But in his podcast, instead of transparency about how 525 pharaonic concrete projects were approved behind the backs of Albanians, including the one in Zvërnec, Rama only blabbered into his microphone baseless justifications accompanied by public deception and obliviousness. The Prime Minister began his defensive narrative with the tactic "the best defense is offense". For him, the search for an account of what these Albanian files of concrete projects are has only one name: "inquisition".

He repeats this word three times: the protest asks him what these hundreds and hundreds of projects are that you had kept secret from us, he starts the podcast with the most surreal answer that could exist: what is this inquisition! For the Prime Minister, those who dare to hinder the modernity of his concrete vision for Albania are like those inquisitors of the Catholic Church who sought to hinder Galileo's modern vision of the solar system!

From the beginning of the podcast, the Prime Minister goes too far into delirium, but this well-calculated method of counterattack is no longer a surprise to anyone. Further, to avoid giving an account and to justify the “Albanian Files”, he goes and compares his far-sighted architectural vision for Albania with the era of New York's skyscraper architecture in the 30s. In this comparison, as stupid as that of the Catholic Church's inquisition against far-sighted people, Rama slyly forgot to add that the invention of skyscrapers by the Chicago architectural school at the end of the 19th century was rejected in many parts of America. After a transparent public debate, large American cities such as Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Washington DC, etc., under pressure from voters banned buildings over 37 meters high. In Albania, the tragedy with Edi Rama is not the debate on the aesthetics of urbanism, because at this point everyone can have their own opinion, but the lack of any debate.

Everything of public value in the territory of Albania is decided by Edi Rama, from laws, from expropriations, to the appointment of the architect, and as we are seeing today, to the preface of the book by 60 world-famous architects dedicated to the Albanian Eldorado where they are winning first contracts like in no other corner of the world. Normally, the preface of a book by world-famous professionals is written by a leading expert with an equally world-famous reputation. In the Albanian case, the leading expert on architecture and urbanization of the territory of Albania is Edi Rama. With a stroke of the pen, he opens the door to not a few, but over 500 projects without the minimum of a public consultation. Even the Emir of Qatar would envy him…

In the wake of the surrealist justifications he presented in the podcast regarding the book Albanian Files , and as if to defend himself precisely from this accusation that a single person decides on 500 or so projects not of guesthouses, but of towers and resorts, here is how Rama justified himself: I was not aware of everything that the book contained, for which I had written the foreword! To laugh or to cry? Or both? Only in the world of an illusionist like Edi Rama is such a thing possible, that the team coach makes the 11, but does not know the players' game plan. When Rama says that "I had not even seen what the book contained before it was published", he remembers speaking to MP Zegjine on the podcast so that she could spread the good news that Rama was not aware of what the architects he himself brought to Albania had written, that they did not fall from the sky. Interesting self-defense, because by declaring that he ignores what architects have designed for Albanians without the knowledge of Albanians, Rama seems to be avoiding giving any explanations about where the resources come from to finance the 500 projects, 60 luxury architecture studios that cost, in Rama's own words, "as much as the hairs on your head."

Rama's Albania does not have 500 projects nor financial support in vital areas such as agriculture, education, health, pensions, etc., but for towers and resorts there is an 800-page book, there are 500 projects and endlessly poured concrete.

Not knowing what the book contains, to which he very competently offered the preface, served Rama at the end of the podcast to get out of another complicated situation caused by the fall of this book into the hands of public opinion. In the middle of these many pages, with the blessing of Edi Rama as a forerunner, there is a letter from architect Reiner de Graaf, Rama's friend and main subcontractor, where he states that Albania does not need democracy, but only for Edi Rama, to whom he wishes eternal power.

Of course, even at this point Rama, caught in the act of madness, turns the situation upside down by treating as crazy or inquisitors those Albanians who have not properly understood the "auto-irony" of the famous architect! Auto-irony is when one makes irony with oneself. But De Graaf does not address himself with that letter, but the Albanian people, saying that you do not need elections as long as you have Edi Rama. Let the comic Dutch architect try to make this "auto" irony with his people and recommend to the Dutch that the royal family is enough to run the country, without parliament, without courts, without elections. Without a doubt, Reiner de Graaf found it less dangerous to make such "auto" irony with the Albanians, since the Albanian leader himself gives him the green light to write such jokes without salt, offering him the preface to the book as the highest form of blessing for everything contained in the book Albanian Files.

This book will remain in the history of future generations as one of Edi Rama's craziest follies. But now that thanks to the insistence of the protesters, Rama never mentioned this book before until he was forced by the "crowd", we must go even further: we must seek the source of financing for these 500 projects.

After the disgusting joke of the Dutchman flying from one fat contract to another regardless of the form of the regime, after the concrete coup, this book with the opaque volume of unjustified projects both in type for a country as small as Albania and in costs, should lead the Albanian justice to investigate an even more dangerous coup for the fate of Albanians, the mafia coup. With money capable of financing such studios and projects, the mafia is capable of buying the silence of those who have the power to put an end to this masquerade.

Money corrupts everything, but never an entire people, who on the day when there is no justice will seek self-justice. This is the true meaning of the call of those heroes on the boulevard of Tirana “Albania is not for sale”, which translates as: dignity is not for sale.
