Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted after the second protest held in Tirana against the investment in Zvërnec, rejecting demands for the project's cancellation and accusing the organizers of manipulating public opinion. In a lengthy reaction on the social network X, Rama said that there is currently no completed project to be canceled, as according to him it is still being drafted by five prestigious international architecture studios, including those of Kengo Kuma, Bjarke Ingels, Jean Nouvel, Emre Arolat and K-Studio.
"Soon, when the project is ready, we will present it publicly. So I'm sorry, but we have no project to cancel," the prime minister said.
Rama also rejected the claims raised by protesters regarding Israel's involvement in the investment, calling them lies and manipulations. He stressed that the investment is expected to be carried out by American partners and the Katariot group Power International Holding, through his company "Assets".
According to the head of government, the project represents a historic investment of 4 billion euros, which will have a significant impact on the country's tourism development. Rama accused the protest organizers of using disinformation to incite citizen reactions and hinder major investments in Albania.
The Prime Minister's reaction
Should I cancel the project? Is that why you called the good people who came after you to protest even today?
I agree, bring me the project and we'll cancel it! But how come you don't have anything to bring because there's no project?
Do you know why there is no project?
Because the project is being worked on by five of the most prestigious studios in the world! Click Kengo Kuma (Japan) Bjarke Ingels (Denmark) Jean Nouvel (France) Emre Arolat (Turkey) K-Studio (Greece) and get to know the authors of the architectural project.
Soon, when the project is ready, we will definitely present it publicly, as we always do with major projects by international architects, even more so for a historic investment like this.
So I'm sorry, but we don't have a project to cancel.
What about "Israel taking Zvërnec to turn it into a Palestinian ghetto", will you still continue?
So you will still abuse the feelings of good citizens, regardless of religion or ideology, who love Albania and its nature with all their hearts? They take to the streets for this feeling, touched by your manipulations for the alleged destruction of nature, but in no way to insult the legendary memory of our Muslim and Christian grandparents, who gave Albania its place of honor in World War II, protecting the Jews with their lives!
They should know the beautiful truth, that the co-investors of the largest tourist enterprise in today's Mediterranean Europe, there in Zvërnec, are valuable American friends of Albania and friends from Qatar, the latter co-owners of the giant conglomerate Power Holding - that is, from a country that has no relationship with Israel, but that unlike the whitewashed and brutal devils who want to protect Zvërnec from the Israeli occupation, they are visionary Muslims humble to Allah and to work! Click http://powerholding.com to see what damage you are doing to Albania, by being inhospitable to a 4 billion Euro investment, which will be realized by the company "Assets", part of Power Holding! Click, click.
Well, how will you keep this war of yours, made up of slander and manipulation, alive with the same lies, or do you think that those among you, who have trusted and voted for me, will believe you and follow you blindly until you realize the plan for which you were paid, trained, and orchestrated, not even by one master, but by various masters, who do not pity the nature of Zvërnec, but want Albania to be scorched earth for the huge investments that distinguish the Champions League from the second and third categories of tourist destinations?! Even worse, they want it on their knees as they were used to until yesterday, not on their feet and with their heads held high as it is, let alone with the crown of the princess of Mediterranean tourism...
We'll see, the truth is delayed but it never forgets, and your lies have started to show their short legs today.
Should I cancel the project? Is that why you called the good people who came after you to protest even today?
I agree, bring me the project and we'll cancel it! But how come you don't have anything to bring because there's no project?
Do you know why there is no project?
Because the project is being worked on by five...
