The US is repeating threats against Iran in various ways.
This was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
"We are used to these threats. The US has been repeating its threats in various ways for a long time, but they themselves understand that they have not achieved any results from these threats and even from the war they have started and will not start," Araqchi stressed.
In his opinion, there is no military solution to issues related to Iran: “Iran stands firm in the face of threats and does not bend, while those who speak respectfully to Iran receive the same response.”
Recall that on February 28, the US and Israel launched a military operation against Iran, launching airstrikes on several cities. In response, Iran launched missile attacks on Israeli territory and attacked US military bases in the Persian Gulf countries.
On the night of April 8, 2026, Iran, the United States, and their allies agreed to a two-week ceasefire, which was later extended indefinitely by White House President Donald Trump. On April 11–12, talks between Iran and the United States were held in Islamabad, mediated by Pakistan. The talks yielded no final results.
As a means of pressure on Tehran, the US has announced the blockade of Iranian ports and the passage through the Strait of Hormuz. On the other hand, Iran has said that Hormuz is closed to ships traveling to Persian Gulf countries. The situation in the region has led to a global energy crisis.
