An archival document. A message that remains current.
In the 30s, the Albanian government supported Korça Beer as one of the proud products of Albanian industry, encouraging the promotion and consumption of local production.
This historical document shows the economic philosophy of the Albanian state at that time:
• support local industry;
• to favor Albanian products when they have quality;
• reduce import dependence.
In the newspaper of the time, it was quoted that the Ministry of National Economy asked the Chambers of Commerce to promote Birra Korça, as the analyses of the time assessed it as a high-quality product, worthy of competing with foreign beers. The same document also emphasizes a principle that remains current: “A domestic industry must have even greater support.”
After almost a century, this message continues to have the same value:
Supporting Albanian products means supporting our economy, employment, and identity.
