DP MP, Belind Këlliçi, in a statement for News24 from the blue headquarters shortly before the opposition protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, declared that there are "1000 reasons" to protest against the government.
According to him, one of the main reasons is related to what he described as secret trips by Prime Minister Edi Rama with businessman Ron Yefet, accusing him of clientelistic relationships that have also affected the media sector.
He alleged that Yefet, whom he described as a figure who controls the arms industry and manages the KAYO structure, has benefited from special decisions by the government, including two nominal VKMs. He added that, according to the opposition, these decisions have also led to the dismissal of journalists. News24 media premises and its transfer into the hands of a private entity.
Këlliçi further accused that the relations between the prime minister and the businessman have also been reflected in meetings abroad, citing a trip to Paris in October 2020.
