A serious incident was recorded this afternoon at a hotel in the Orikum area of ​​Vlora, where a group of more than 10 people are suspected of having gone to impose a fine on the hotel owner. The incident occurred around 12:30. According to preliminary information, the people initially threatened the owner verbally, while the situation later escalated and it is suspected that weapons were also used.

The perpetrators demanded 5 million euros from the hotel owner. During the confrontation, there was a physical conflict between the parties, and the group quickly left the hotel premises.

After receiving the notification, the Police services arrived at the scene and started pursuing the suspects. During the pursuit, two people traveling in a vehicle were involved in an accident on the Peshkëpi bridge, at the entrance to the city of Vlora. The injured were transported by ambulance to the hospital for medical assistance.

According to preliminary data, one of them suffered multiple injuries to his back and spine, while the other person received injuries as a result of the accident.

Meanwhile, numerous police forces have been deployed in several areas of Vlora, with the aim of locating and arresting other persons involved in the incident. The police are continuing their checks and investigations to clarify the full dynamics of the incident, identify the persons involved and document the circumstances of the incident.
