Ademola Lookman insists on a transfer to Inter, while Atalanta continues to resist the income offers from the Black and Blues. The Nigerian striker himself has reacted to this topic, in a post on social networks.

"During the last three years at Atalanta, I have given everything of myself. Not only as a player, but also as a person. I have always worn this shirt with pride and have tried to best represent the club and the city of Bergamo with heart, passion and dedication.

I came here with the hope of helping this special club grow and together we have created memories that I will carry with me forever. Winning the Europa League and celebrating that night in Dublin, side by side with my team-mates and our fans, was one of the greatest and most meaningful moments of my career. Even today, I get chills when I think about it.

Atalanta, and especially its fans, have become a part of me. Since day one, I have felt at home and I have always tried to return this love even in the moments when, behind the scenes, it was not easy.

That is exactly what makes writing these words so difficult. I have loved every moment of it, but I feel that now, after three wonderful years in Bergamo, the time has come to turn the page and start a new adventure.

In the past, several clubs have approached Atalanta, but I have always chosen to remain loyal. However, the club's owners and I agreed that now was the right time to leave and I was made clear that, if a valid offer was received, I would be allowed to leave.

Although an offer has now arrived that matches our agreement, unfortunately, the club is rejecting it for reasons I don't understand.

For this reason, and after months of broken promises and what I perceive as unfair treatment towards me, as a person and as a footballer, I feel, with regret, that I have no choice but to speak out for what I believe is right. I can confirm that I have officially submitted a request to leave.

Even in the most difficult moments, many of which I have chosen to keep private and confidential, I have always put the club, the fans and the team first, hoping that it would never come to this. But unfortunately, I believe there are no alternatives left.

To the fans, the beating heart of this club, I want to say this: I am very sorry that things have come to this. I hope you understand the extreme difficulty of this situation. For me, it is simply a matter of standing up for what I believe is right.

Your support has always been extraordinary and the bond we have created is something special.

"I hope we can work together with the club to find an amicable solution for all parties involved as soon as possible.", writes Lookman.
