The Special Prosecution Office struck this Saturday morning a criminal group led by Inez Hajrulla, operating in the Uji i Ftohtë area in Vlora. At the end of several months of investigations, Special Prosecutor Vladimir Mara has signed seven arrest warrants against suspects for serious criminal events such as mafia assassinations or drug trafficking.
Journalist Klodiana Lala reports on BalkanWeb that an arrest warrant has been signed for Hajrulla and his right-hand man Ervis Matodashaj, accused of the murder of Gentian Qarri on the evening of February 6, 2021 in Vlora, but they have escaped arrest. Gentian Qarri, a former convict in Italy with 11 years in prison for drug trafficking, was executed in the "29 November" neighborhood in Vlora. The motive is suspected to be the clash of criminal groups in cocaine trafficking. Hajrulla and Matodashaj are also involved in the execution of the businessman from Vlora, Bledar Birçaj, an event that occurred in May 2021.
