Yesterday, I reposted an article from a year ago about an activity organized by the National Museum on what is known as the “February 4 Massacre”. The comments, both from followers and from unknown persons, were numerous. It is normal that such an event, still not finally clarified, has different perspectives.

But, among the many comments, I was struck by a comment from a gentleman, whose name, for ethical reasons, I am not making public. He is the director of a cultural institution. I have known him for a long time and I have no reason to believe that he is malicious.

The message he wrote to me was extremely sharp and extremely disturbing, as, as a leader who knows the situation from the inside, he highlighted the degradation and decline of our national cultural heritage institutions.

What he writes is very serious and it is up to the Ministry of Culture to clarify the public. But knowing the person, as well as from conversations with journalists who follow the field of culture, I think that these concerns are very close to the truth. And what about the fact that the National Museum of the Republic, during these 12 years, has been administered by only two Ministers of Culture, Ms. Mirela Kumbaro and Ms. Elva Margariti, makes it easy to get to the bottom of the truth. Clarifying whether the National Museum of the Republic has ended up in a garbage dump where any fool can get their hands on national wealth or whether it is at the height that an institution of historical memory of this country should have.

"Honorable Auron... the former National Museum (may God have mercy on him) since 2017 has not had a single historian, archaeologist or even a good manager... it was led by a man without a degree who at best had a degree in English... so he had a degree in English... who after trying to rape female employees in that institution (proven with court charges what I am saying...) (but the minister at the time did not notice these small details.) Commanded for 5 years in a row.

After he tried to rape a man close to Kiço that …………. it took an attempt on Irakli's daughter to get him out, but again without noise…etc..etc.. Then about 5 other directors were changed until it was closed. But no one during all this time has asked .. what the hell is happening with our national wealth.. (much less the audits or the famous KLSH.) Like for example the famous codices.. icons… traditional Albanian clothing embroidered with gold thread as well as decorated with pendants with original gold and silver coins of the time.. like the famous xhubleta or the clothing of women of the dropulli…kelcyres.. of the south in general.. etc.

No one talks about the dozens of quintals of bronze..gold..and silver of the works installed in it… I recall here the figure of the unknown partisan.. or of Enver Hoxha at a height of about 4m bathed in gold.. with the relics or original bones of Saint John Vladimir of Shijon.. disappeared from the museum before it closed. (And they have officially admitted this is madness.) ….which have been coveted for years by all the Orthodox churches..collectors..criminal groups..etc.. The Gllavenice Pitafi..full of endless materials., which apparently are not being eaten.. this silence makes me think that… they have been used for scrap or will end up in some house of some person passionate about them..

On the other hand..You're right to want to do historical science etc.. ..ok.. but who should do it…? Shoemakers and carpenters and generalists…? (With all due respect to their professions..the stone is in its place).

Because these have taken the leading positions of culture.. in continuation of this, let me challenge anyone who will comment later with a sentence..

Can you find someone today with a degree in History... Archaeology... Museology or Restoration... at the Ministry of Culture? It's that simple to understand what I mean... klm.

And when the ADF driver receives many times more salary and wages than the dean of the faculty.. or scientific researchers with diplomas or doctorates defended abroad in any field.. don't expect anything serious and positive in terms of science.. unfortunately.. klm."
