July 8 is Ashura Day and Bektashi believers celebrate it as one of the most sacred and significant days for their community. World Patriarch Haxhi Dede Baba Edmond Brahimaj, conveyed a message of unity and togetherness to all believers.
He prayed for peace, at a time when, as he himself expressed, there are many hotbeds of war in the world. The Patriarch prayed that conflicts and wars would stop, to make way for peace and joy.
"A call for friendship and solidarity to respect differences and diversity to share together joys and sorrows, good and evil, achievements and struggles, beliefs and difficulties of daily life. The light and peaceful teachings of faith oppose extremists, terrorists and the forces of darkness. Nowadays, the hotbeds of conflict are numerous, but we pray that humanity will find peace and that conflicts and wars will cease," said, among other things, the World Patriarch, Haxhi Dede Baba Edmond Brahimaj.
