The fifth protest by the residents of Divjaka was held on Tuesday evening in the city's main square. The protesting citizens have strongly opposed the new territorial reform that merges the municipality of Divjaka with Lushnje.

The removal of services, economic and social reality have been the arguments to oppose the merger of the Divjaka municipality.

The protesters have demanded that more citizens and residents come to the square to protest, as well as maximum commitment from administration employees. Among other things, the protesting residents have stated that they will not stop the protest until the government announces the cancellation of the project that foresees the merger of the municipality.

"We need to get services here, so that we have everything here. Because if this is taken away, everything will become difficult for us. And our fathers have experienced this," said one protester, among other things.

Those present at this rally also marched through the streets of the city, calling on more citizens of Divjaka to join their cause.
On Tuesday evening, the mayor did not go up to the podium to speak on the issue, unlike on other nights of the protest.
