The head of the DP group, Gazment Bardhi, accuses the head of SPAK, Klodian Braho, of being hostage to the construction permits and business interests of his family members, favoring Belinda Balluku.

In an interview for "Albanian News Cast" with journalist Arbër Hitaj, the leader of the Democratic parliamentary group reiterated the claim that there was an agreement between the head of the Special Prosecution Office and Prime Minister Edi Rama not to request the lifting of Balluk's immunity again.

According to him, the meetings took place at Valamar, with Interior Minister Ervin Demo serving as the point of contact. Bardhi called this alleged agreement the "Valamar Alliance".

"I am aware of an agreement made between him and Prime Minister Edi Rama in relation to this issue, so that there would be no new request for lifting immunity against Belinda Balluku. I spoke about his point of contact, that is, with whom he has communicated and it is no longer a secret, is the new Minister of Interior. One of the reasons why he was appointed Minister of Interior is because of the contact and personal connection he has with the new head of the Special Prosecution Office," said Bardhi.

Bardhi described the investigation against Balluk as truncated, as SPAK has not searched her apartment and phone, while also raising questions about the failure to question Prime Minister Rama regarding the tenders under investigation.

He accused SPAK of double standards, emphasizing that Erion Veliaj is in prison on lighter charges, while Balluku, according to him, faces more serious charges, but remains free.

"Belinda Balluku is the public official with the most serious charges filed by the Special Prosecution. So, there is no one similar. You mentioned Mr. Veliaj, for example, who is in prison. The charges against him are lighter than the charges against Ms. Balluku. The charges against Ilir Meta are 1/10 of the charges against Ms. Balluku. And it is unimaginable that an official with the charges against Ms. Balluku is free today and not only free, but also comes to the Assembly," Bardhi continued.

The leader of the DP group made a new complaint. He claims to know the clinic where Balluku spent thousands of euros on cosmetic procedures, expenses that, according to him, should have been verified by prosecutors.

"I am mentioning an issue here for the first time, even though I had intended to report it in the coming days. I personally know the clinic where Mrs. Balluku has spent thousands of euros on her aesthetics, that is, on changing her appearance. When it catches your eye as a journalist, I think a prosecutor should notice it. And if I know the clinic where Mrs. Balluku has spent thousands of euros on changing her look, a prosecutor should know it," Bardhi continued.

Bardhi said that not requesting the lifting of immunity aims to leave the Balluku case in oblivion, while accusing the head of SPAK of having disappointed citizens' trust in the new justice system.

Regarding the Rama-Veliaj clash, Bardhi said that he is inclined to believe the mayor's claims of threats in prison by the Minister of Justice, Toni Gogu, on behalf of the prime minister. He demanded that the matter be investigated by the judiciary.
