The European Union (EU) intends to blacklist 29 individuals as part of the 20th package of sanctions against Russia.
EUObserver reported this, citing draft sanctions documents.
It was noted that among them are the President of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) Arkady Dvorkovich, the Director of the Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky and the President of the Russian Olympic Committee Stanislav Pozdnyakov.
Inclusion on the European Union's "blacklist" means a ban on travel to EU territory, as well as the freezing of assets if they are held in European banks.
