Democratic League of Kosovo MP Vjosa Osmani, before the meeting with the Parliamentary Group of this party, said that Bekim Sejdiu's candidacy for president protects Kosovo's democracy.

Former President Osmani said that LDK has put Kosovo's interests before party interests.

"Bekim Sejdiu's candidacy brings honor to the entire Republic of Kosovo, not only does it meet all the criteria that we have unanimously set at the last meeting of the parliamentary group, not only does it respect the last decision of the LDK assembly, but at the same time it gives Kosovo an opportunity for important work in protecting democracy. We have made a compromise by always placing the interest of Kosovo before any individual or party interest," said Osmani.

Meanwhile, MP Armend Zemaj said that he will protect the LDK from falling into Kurti's "trap", hinting that he will not vote for presidential candidate Bekim Sejdiu.

"My stance is to defend the LDK and I have never fallen into Albin Kurti's trap," said Zemaj.

After many meetings, yesterday, LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku and LVV leader Albin Kurti reached an agreement on the consensual candidate for president. /KP/
