Student blockades and protests in Serbia, which erupted after the tragedy in Novi Sad on November 1, 2024, will continue today with the main rally in the center of Kragujevac.
Protesters planned to block one of the city's main boulevards for 15 hours and 15 minutes, in a symbolic tribute to the victims.
The students, who came from various cities in Serbia, arrived last night in Kragujevac, where they were welcomed by a large number of citizens.
According to the plan published by the students of the University of Kragujevac, who have joined the protests, the rally will be held on Lepenički Boulevard. The rules of the protest, announced by the students on Instagram, emphasize that no one will be allowed to cause incidents. The use of pyrotechnics and lighting fires will be prohibited, while only emergency services will be allowed to pass.
The tragedy of the collapse of the railway roof in Novi Sad, which left 15 people dead and several injured, has prompted Serbian students to launch protests, which have spread across Serbia as part of a movement demanding accountability and justice.
