The farmers' protest in Greece caused chaos throughout the country. Farmers have been blocking the main roads for several days. Livestock farmers also joined their protest. Today, the Port of Volos was also blocked by fishermen who joined the protest.
They have expressed their conviction that they will not give up the protest until their demands are met. A reaction came from the Greek Minister of Rural Development, Costas Tsiaras, who said that dialogue is the only way to find a solution. He also said that he has extended an open invitation for discussion.
"With dialogue we can solve everything. We had an intense but substantive discussion with our fellow MPs, about all the problems that concern them. The government has proven that it stands by farmers, producers. Our goal was and is to support the agricultural sector."
