The Transparency Board has published the new prices for fuel trading in the country.
Diesel will be sold at 195 lek/liter, down from 190 lek/liter, which was the price from the last meeting. Meanwhile, gasoline will be sold at 179 lek/liter, down from 182 lek/liter.
The prices set by the Board will come into effect today, the 27th, at 1:30 p.m. and will be valid until the next board meeting.
Notice:
The Transparency Board on May 27, 2026, at the next meeting, decided:
✅The retail price of the gasoil by-product of the SSH EN 590 standard should be no more than 190 ALL/liter, while the wholesale price no more than 178 ALL/liter.
✅The retail price of the SSH EN standard gasoline by-product should be no more than 179 lek/liter, while the wholesale price should be no more than 167 lek/liter.
🗓️The prices set by the Board will come into effect today, the 27th, at 11:30 am and will be valid until the next board meeting where the changes in sales prices will be reflected.
⚠️We draw the attention of every wholesale and retail operator of petroleum by-products to the obligation to implement this decision.
🚫 In case of violations found by different operators, the suspension of the activity will be imposed.

EXPLANATION: Referring to Normative Act No. 1, Date 3.4.2026 “On an addition to Law No. 61/2012, “On excise duties in the Republic of Albania,” as amended, which provides that if the retail price for diesel is higher than 220 lek/liter, or for gasoline is higher than 200 lek/liter, the 80% excise duty level shall be applied. Based on the application of the methodology for calculating the retail price ceiling, the prices are below the limit of Normative Act No. 1, date 3.4.2026, and consequently the excise duty level shall be applied in full, 100%.
