Democratic Party MP, Greta Bardeli, has reacted to the increase in fuel prices, describing the situation as another blow to citizens and businesses, especially during the tourist season.
In a reaction on social media, Bardeli says that the price of oil has reached 214 lek per liter, while accusing the government of further increasing the economic burden on Albanians.
According to her, citizens are facing not only heavy seasonal traffic, but also high travel costs, citing the toll on the National Road and the increase in fuel prices.

Reaction of DP MP, Greta Bardeli:
Look at how much the price of fuel has increased. 214 lekë, or in other words 2140 lekë per liter. This summer period for us who live in the northern areas, but not only, but also emigrants, and Kosovo Albanians who want to come and frequent the coastal areas here from us, has already turned into a real nightmare. It has turned into an ordeal of suffering.
In addition to the heavy traffic that we face every year, in addition to that 2500 lek bill we pay at the toll booth, we must face another bitter reality today.
We have the price of diesel in the market increased by 2140 lekë. Another extortion by this government. And that famous board, which is paid by Albanian taxes, must take emergency measures and intervene to mitigate this price, just as Europe itself is doing.
Albanians can no longer face this bitter economic reality which is weighing more and more on their pockets every day.
