Member of the National Council of the Democratic Party, Ilir Alimehmeti, in an interview on the show "Studio24" on News24 spoke about political developments in the country, also focusing on the challenges of the opposition.

During the studio interview, Ilir Alimehmeti's DP thesis was clear for a transitional government.

"I have said that we are talking about votes, but we have not talked about the first link, if we are a functional democracy, which for me is no. I think the party leader has spoken clearly, the strategy will be seen when we gather and at this moment the word Primary is in force. But there is also a statute. But if you ask me personally, I have given my availability since 2022. We have articulated the thesis that a transitional government is needed to guarantee two basic pillars. So that the politician, minister, MP, is not in bulletproof protection against justice and free and fair elections must also be guaranteed, if these are not guaranteed, we are talking in vain about other links in the chain. Two months ago today, February 13, the DP took an official position in favor of this discussion. So Mr. Boci took responsibility, it was explained that we will go for a representative Electoral Code and then we will definitely discuss it," he continued.
