Eddie Howe, Newcastle coach, appeared in a press conference before the Champions League match against Barcelona.

"It's easy to be negative at the moment. I understand we're out of the FA Cup, but we have the biggest game in the club's history ahead of us and we have to approach it that way.

"We've never been in this position in the Champions League before and this is the best competition there is. We have to prepare the players for this match and we don't have time to dwell on the latest disappointment."

"We need to find energy from somewhere to raise the level of performance to a level we haven't seen this season. Only in that way can we overcome this challenge," he said.
