Images from the scene of the explosion in the village of Grabovë, Përmet, where two people were injured, have emerged.

The incident is suspected to have been accidental and occurred while two citizens, Mustafa Koçi and Ervis Bregu, were carrying out work on an old apartment in the area.

According to preliminary suspicions, the explosion was caused by an explosive device left over from World War II, which was located in the apartment. The two injured were urgently transported to the hospital to receive the necessary medical assistance, while there is still no official information on their health condition.

Authorities are continuing investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
