VLOR - The leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, declared from Vlora that Albanians are uniting despite political differences against the Rama-Meta duo. The Democratic Party held its next protest today in the city of Vlora. Hundreds of citizens with banners in their hands and the slogans "Rama out", "Meta out" have come out to protest against the government. In addition to the deputies and leaders of the DP, alongside the leader of the DP, Lulzim Basha was also the PDIU deputy for the Vlora Region, Dashamir Tahiri, who called on citizens to unite against the government, despite the fact that the leader of this party, Shpëtim Idrizi, has joined the SP coalition.
"We tried them for 45 years in a row and the two years we tried them brought us back to the way they were before the '90s, so it doesn't matter if we are right or left, the economy has no color, you can see for yourself where they have brought the situation. Let's all unite together, we have been where we are, long live democracy, long live Chameria, long live Albania," said Tahiri.
Leader of the Democratic Party Basha said that the citizens of Vlora have united in the square to protest against the violation of their dignity. Basha said that the country and its citizens are facing major economic problems, with increased taxes, and a lack of security, contrary to what the Socialist Party and Prime Minister Rama promised.
"We are in Vlora, where the Albanian state originated, in this square called Pavarësia because Vlora has embroidered its independence with its own hand. There is no stronger reason for the citizens, the people of Vlora to unite in Pavarësia Square than their dignity. Dignity that has been trampled on for two years by Rama-Meta. In every city, in every village of Albania, in every neighborhood, I have touched and am touching in the words, the looks, in the pain of the people, their souls the revolt against the infidelity of a government that tore up the promises with which it got the vote. The revolt against the beautiful words and the stones in the sack of Edi Rama and Ilir Meta with friends, impoverishing the hopes of Albanians, wounding the dreams of ordinary people. The revolt is nationwide. Without political differences, Albanians are uniting around the DP against the Rama-Meta duo", declared Basha.
The leader of the Democrats has called on the people of Vlora to rise up against the arrogance of the government and to punish the lies and oppression of the Rama-Meta duo with their votes.
"Albanians are watching and asking, what does Vlora say, what will Vlora do? Does Vlora accept the politics of the bigwig, does it accept the arrogance of the Rama-Meta duo that is pouring salt on the wounds it has opened itself? Albanians are asking what will Vlora say to these rascals, the Rama-Meta duo? Vlora cannot agree with the arrogance of the government. Vlora is setting and will set an example of seeking accountability and punishing lies and oppression with votes. The Prime Minister, who is a member of parliament for Vlora, promised a cataclysm in the elections that he would turn Vlora upside down and a miracle would happen. Vlora was turned upside down but the miracle did not happen," said the Leader of the Democratic Party.
Basha said that citizens have lost hope, while the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the Parliament have disappeared. He called the leaders of the parties that Rama is bringing into the left coalition "sneakers."
"The people of Vlora have lost hope, they have lost faith. The government, the Rama-Meta duo, have disappeared. Vlora rejects crime. The real power is the people and not the people with power. June 21 is approaching. I am convinced that Vlora, this strict judge, will know how to give an answer to this oligarchy. You have seen how Edi Rama is running to catch every scoundrel who comes his way. Edi Rama is pulling them because he knows that he has lost the support of the socialists, he knows it well because he knows that his quotas have dropped. The DP's alliance with the citizens. The alliance is with you and with hundreds of Albanians who have been plunged into misery," said the chief democrat.
The Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Arben Ristani, said that Vlora is not the fiefdom of Rama and Koço, so it is time to protest.
"We have gathered to decide our own destinies. It is time to protest because today more than ever we need to raise our voices. We need to show that we are strong and that we understand what is happening. There are no jobs, taxes have increased, consumption has fallen. We have less and less welfare on our tables. Education is worse than it used to be. Healthcare is collapsing. Tourism is in free fall. This summer will not be any better for Vlora's tourism either. Crime and criminals are making our lives more difficult every day. That is why we have gathered to protest in this square. Vlora is not Rama and Koço's fiefdom. The people of Vlora cannot become the henchmen of the prime minister and the mayor," declared Ristani.
He emphasized that today those who received the vote and promised rebirth behave like pashas and do not want to care about the people, citing as an example the case of the families of the "Kushtrimi" neighborhood, whose homes were demolished.
"Look at how they behave today, like pashas. They lied about the supposed renaissance, but here we are, they build their palaces every day and destroy the homes of the poor. These pashas have not loved their families and do not love our families and the people. The rulers of Vlora are the people of Vlora themselves. Vlora does not need rulers. The Mayor is not to be taken as an example because he has done some good work for Vlora, but we will remember the Mayor of Vlora for one thing, what the socialists do to each other. The DP has always done the best for Vlora and the citizens, we have not been excellent but we have left visible examples", said Ristani.
