The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha, conveyed through a video message from Strasbourg, where he is attending the proceedings of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the issues he raised during his stay in this institution.

At the center of his statement was the situation in Albania and the accusations against the Rama government. Berisha stated that his main focus has been denouncing the first and only narco-state in Europe, linking this situation to the consequences that have appeared in the economy, agriculture, industry and demographic developments.

In a video message published by the Council of Europe, the DP leader also raised accusations about international drug trafficking. He stated that Albania is one of the main actors in the trafficking of cannabis to Europe, while Albanian criminal groups also play a role in the transportation of cocaine from Latin America.

Berisha said that in Strasbourg he requested the support of European institutions in the fight against narco-states, presenting this as a problem that affects not only Albania, but also the region.

During his video message, Berisha also touched on developments in Serbia, commenting on the use of the figure of Ratko Mladic in the political campaign.

He accused Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić of being politically supported by elements linked to the past wars in the region and demanded that measures be taken against Serbia in relation to the Council of Europe.

According to Berisha, the use of the figure of Mladic constitutes a violation of fundamental European principles and poses a risk to the stability of the region.

Another concern raised by Berisha was the state of the media in Albania. He stressed that the vast majority of the media is controlled by an alliance between the government, business and criminal groups.

DP Chairman Sali Berisha also condemned acts of violence against journalists and the media, calling for urgent international intervention to protect media freedom.

At the end of the video message, Berisha declared that "democracy in Albania is in agony," while accusing the government of consolidating an authoritarian system based on crime, drugs, and corruption.

During my stay in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, my main stance has been in denouncing the first and only narco-state in Europe, which Edi Rama has built in Albania over the years, the devastating consequences of this narco-state on the country's economy, the dramatic devaluation of the euro and the dollar, the massive decline in industrial and agricultural production, and the terrible demographic shock unprecedented in the history of Albania in centuries.

Albania is the main exporter of cannabis to Europe, Albanian clans are the main transporters of cocaine from Latin America and controllers of the European market.

In this context, I called for support from this institution in the fight against the narco-state in Albania, which poses a danger not only to Albania, but to the region and beyond.

In my position, an important place has also been occupied by discussions regarding the fact that today in Belgrade, the ghosts of Ratko Mladic are campaigning alongside Edi Rama's patron, Aleksandar Vučić, and this constitutes an insult, a great danger for the region, a grave insult to the entire world civilization.

I requested and will insist that clear sanctions be imposed on Serbia in relation to the Council of Europe, as this act is in flagrant violation of all fundamental principles.

Ratko Mladic is the orchestrator and main author of the largest genocide since World War II in Srebrenica, he committed serious crimes in Croatia and other areas and is now campaigning alongside Aleksandar Vučić in the villages and cities of Serbia.

Another attention, the dramatic situation of the media in Albania, controlled according to international reports in 90% of them by a mafia alliance of the narco-government, businesses and drug clans.

Where 90% of the media is controlled by the government, language is corrupted, thought is corrupted, and de facto freedom is an illusion.

Acts of violence against the government media are condemnable and I denounce them with the utmost force, but urgent intervention is required, since the truth is that democracy in Albania is in agony for these reasons, while an authoritarian dictatorship based on crime, drugs, and the theft of Albanians is increasingly consolidated.
