Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz will not be in this year's edition of Wimbledon, after confirming that he has not yet fully recovered from the wrist injury.
The news was announced on Tuesday by Alcaraz himself, who stated that he needs more time to return to optimal form.
"The recovery is going well and I feel much better, but unfortunately I am not yet ready to play. I am forced to withdraw from both Queen's and Wimbledon."
"These are two very special tournaments for me and I will miss them very much. We will continue to work to return as soon as possible."
