Around 20 protesters were escorted by police this evening after throwing Molotov cocktails towards the police cordon guarding the government and parliament buildings.
Opposition supporters again threw Molotov cocktails and fireworks. Police said that 16 police officers were injured by the Molotov cocktails, with burns and physical injuries, and were treated in hospital.
Democratic MP Bledjon Nallbati also suffered injuries, and was taken to the hospital with head injuries.
The opposition is demanding the resignation of Edi Rama and Belinda Balluku, following the latter's involvement in corruption scandals and being officially charged by SPAK for tender abuses.
She has been suspended from duty, but is also being asked to lift her immunity and open the way for her arrest.
