Mario, an Albanian who has been living in Canada for three years, joined the protest in Tirana, describing the situation in the country as a national issue.
He called for unity among Albanians, regardless of political beliefs, emphasizing that the country is facing the departure of young people and a lack of prospects.
"I left for Canada three years ago for a better job. Albanians must take their destiny into their own hands. It is not a small issue, but a national one. Life or death, not for the left or the right, let us take our destiny into our own hands. The left and the right have sold Albania. It is time for Albanians to take their destiny into their own hands, because their children are fleeing abroad."
They must sacrifice so that those who will come have a better future. People here are wrinkled, they have been burdened, their rights have been taken away. This country demands justice, healthcare and industry. Industry has been destroyed, the police have been captured, justice has been captured.
"Come together, demand your rights, raise your voice, don't be afraid, in offices or in supermarkets. Down with all the traitors, down with Rama, down with Berisha!", said Mario.
