The Chairman of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Niko Peleshi, addressed opposition MPs today from the rostrum of the Parliament, asking them to be present in the committees to move forward with the Parliament's agenda until the closing of the proceedings.

Peleshi said that at the Conference of Speakers there was no consensus on the approval of the agenda of Parliament's work, while the SP parliamentary group is in favor of moving forward with a busy agenda in the last 2-3 remaining sessions, before the Parliament begins its recess.

"There are 20 acts to be approved. Parliament does not begin and end at this rostrum, but throughout the week. You are not in committees, then you ask why other initiatives, draft laws are not introduced. We have 20 draft acts, we can make them 40 if you want, but it takes work. Someone has to work, come to the meeting, not for quorum, but to participate in the process of draft acts," said Peleshi.

Peleshi emphasized during his speech that the SP group is conducting the entire process itself in the absence of the opposition.

"Citizens should also know, you do not attend committees and in many committees that a quorum is not created, this is because very few opposition members participate in committees. Let's approve the draft acts. But, with or without you, we will successfully close this Assembly to start in September", he said.
