Representatives of the Albania Becomes Movement have taken action today in front of the Prime Minister's Office, demanding that citizens align themselves in the reaction against the government.
"We will confront drug cartels wherever they are and wherever they act against the interests of the United States," the banner they held read, quoting a statement by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
At the same time, the date of the protest was announced, calling for a rally the next day, January 17th at 18:00 PM.
"Albanians, stand by justice. January 17th, everyone in the square against the regime of thieves," was their call.
Meanwhile, the leader of "Albania Becomes", Adriatik Lapaj, has called on citizens to join the protest, to react against "the director of this corrupt system".
"People should ask themselves if they should protest and unite. Those who face taxes and the injustice of fines should ask themselves if they should protest. All young couples who cannot buy an apartment should ask themselves if they should protest. I invite everyone to protest in front of a man, in front of the director of this corrupt system," said Adriatik Lapaj.
