The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, describes the news of the untimely passing of renowned pedagogue Edlira Haxhiymeri as sad.

Meta writes that she was a personality in the social sciences and Albanian education, a model of high civic and pedagogical values, and that we will always be grateful to her for the valuable contribution she made to the progress of Albanian society and politics.

"Sad news about the untimely passing of the dedicated lecturer for over three decades, researcher and former Socialist Party MP, Edlira Haxhiymeri.
