Starting on Monday morning, May 11, a positive development comes for residents of southern Albania, immigrants and tourists who use the Qafë Bota border crossing point to move towards Greece and vice versa.
The Greek Customs of Mavromati at the Qafë Botë Border Crossing Point has officially announced the extension of service hours for the passage of citizens and vehicles.
According to the announcement, the border crossing will operate from 05:00 to 23:00 Albanian time, or from 06:00 to 24:00 Greek time.
This change in schedule is expected to bring significant relief to daily traffic flows, as well as to tourists, especially during the summer season and holidays, when the number of crossings increases significantly.
At the same time, the extension of the hours is expected to also reduce queues and improve traffic during peak times at this important border point.
