The Italian Grand Prix for Charles Leclerc lasted only 3 laps. After a hard collision with Lewis Hamilton in the first sector of the track, the Monegasque driver lost control of his car during acceleration and crashed into the barriers.

Leclerc sat on the side of the track for a long time, feeling pain, before walking back to the pits. Fortunately, the Ferrari driver did not suffer serious consequences and was immediately taken to the medical center for checks. The Monegasque driver crashed into the barriers at a speed of about 200 km/h.

"Everything is fine. I still have some concerns, but overall I'm fine. I just had some eye problems at the beginning, but now I feel fine. That's the most important thing. I hit the gas and had a 'snap' (sudden loss of grip at the rear of the car), and then I lost control. Anyway, I need to see the footage again," declared Leclerc, still somewhat shaken by the accident.

A bitter end to Leclerc's weekend, who had just moments before the incident been criticised over the radio by Hamilton. "He pushed me off the track," the British driver exclaimed immediately after the contact at the start.
